Whether it’s your first KEENFest or your tenth, we’re excited to welcome you to a fun, inclusive, and unforgettable evening celebrating 20+ years of empowering abilities! Here’s everything you need to know:
When and where will the event take place?
KEENFest 2025 will take place on Thursday, October 16 at The Arbory, located in Chicago’s West Loop at 2219 W Grand Avenue.
Doors open at 6:30 PM.
What is the event schedule? Is there a program?
The event runs from 6:30–9:30 PM.
A short program will begin around 7:45 PM and last approximately 30–45 minutes.
We recommend arriving before the program begins to enjoy the full experience!
What is the dress code?
KEENFest is a casual, celebratory event—no tuxes or gowns required! (but you can wear one if you like!)
We suggest cocktail or business casual attire, but feel free to dress up or down to whatever makes you feel comfortable.
Is parking available?
Yes! Free guest parking is available just one block from the venue at:
Mitchell Elementary School – 2233 W Ohio St.
What type of food will be served? Will there be vegetarian options?
We’re still finalizing the food and beverage details, but rest assured:
✔️ Vegetarian options will be available.
✔️ If you have dietary restrictions or specific needs, email us at KEENFest@keenchicago.org so we can make sure you’re taken care of.
Is the event accessible?
Absolutely.
-
The Arbory is fully ADA accessible.
-
A quiet/sensory space will be available for athletes and guests who may need a break from the action.
-
If you have additional access needs, email us at KEENFest@keenchicago.org—we’re happy to make accommodations.
What else can we expect at the event?
Get ready for fun! In addition to the program and celebration, KEENFest 2025 will include:
🎉 A live and silent auction (silent auction opens 5–7 days before the event and closes 1 hour before it ends)
🎯 On-site games like Wine Toss, Balloon Darts, and the popular Golden Ticket (final game line-up coming soon!)
Who are the 2025 event co-chairs?
This year’s event is co-chaired by Lily Montgomery and Lisa Goodman, both members of the KEEN Chicago Board of Directors.
They are joined in planning by Laura Fillenwarth, KEEN Chicago’s Executive Director, Sydney Erlikh, KEENFest Event Planner, and the full KEEN Chicago Board of Directors.
I can’t attend the event. Can I still donate?
Yes—your support is always appreciated!
You can make a financial contribution on the event ticket page (look for the "I would like to make an additional donation" section) or visit our website at www.keenchicago.org to donate directly - use the large DONATE button!
We also welcome in-kind donations such as items for our event auction or food to serve at the event—email KEENFest@keenchicago.org if you’d like to contribute in this way.
Do you need event volunteers?
Yes! We’re looking for about 15 reliable volunteers to help bring KEENFest to life.
Volunteers must be able to commit to being on-site from 4:00–10:15 PM on event day.
Express interest through the volunteer tab on our event page or email us at KEENFest@keenchicago.org with questions about volunteer options.
What do the funds raised at this event support?
Proceeds from KEENFest support KEEN Chicago’s free, in-person programs that empower youth with disabilities through active recreation.
Your dollars directly help us:
-
Eliminate financial and logistical barriers to participation
-
Provide 1:1 support so every athlete has the chance to thrive
